TEC Religious School and Sisterhood are leading a tzedakah project called, “A Basket of Love” and need your help!
We are collecting items for expectant mothers who cannot afford basic necessities for their newborns and can use a little TLC. We are asking members of TEC to sign up and donate items that are listed. Our goal is to make 20 baskets, but people can purchase the number of items they are comfortable with. The items can be dropped off at the Temple building, outside in designated bins.
During the Religious School Hanukkah celebration on Sunday, Dec. 18, students will put the baskets together. The baskets will then be transported to Project Just Because in Hopkinton.
Please bring your donations to the Temple by Wednesday, Dec. 14.
Join us outside for our Sisterhood Hanukkah Celebration and Yankee Swap.
We will gather around the firepit, enjoy s’mores, hot cocoa, and BYOS (bring your own spirits).
If you would like to participate in the Yankee Swap, bring a gift wrapped present. Let us know you’re coming!
BJ’s new member/renewal program runs from December 5 through December 20. As an added plus, BJ’s will donate $10 (if new) or $5 (if renewal) to Temple Etz Chaim for every form collected!
Let’s assemble the menorah and raise a glass! Bring your favorite brew to share with the group.
Temple members, E-Vites will go out with details of this event. If you don’t get the E-Vite or if anyone has any questions, please contact Stewart Lipson.
Hanukkah Lights at Night is an event for the entire family! Meet us at Beaver Pond, in Franklin at 5 pm, on December 18. We will light the menorah, sing some songs, and set lanterns out into the pond to light up the night.
Decorate the trunk of your car for Hanukkah and put it on display for all to see.
If you are a religious school family, please bring the menorah you created for a second opportunity to win a contest. Prizes will be awarded.
New this year is a latka cook-off!
Our temple community has some awesome cooks. Come taste the latkas and vote for the person you feel is the Latka King or Queen.
Please RSVP if you would like to attend this family friendly event. We look forward to seeing everyone there.
