About Us

Welcome to Temple Etz Chaim

We are a Reform Jewish community which encourages a journey towards spiritual fulfillment through Jewish education of both adults and children, communal worship and social activities. We are committed to guaranteeing equal rights in all matters and to Tikkun Olam – the healing of the world – beginning at our home and reaching beyond to the global community.

Temple Etz Chaim was founded in 1990 as a Reform Jewish Congregation. We encourage Jewish spiritual fulfillment, education of children and adults, and a growing sense of vital Jewish community. We are proud to be a full member of the Union for Reform Judaism and the Synagogue Council of Massachusetts. We are also a charter member of the Franklin Interfaith Council.

We are proud to be a four-generation Temple. As a Temple family, we celebrate all the holidays and festivals together. Our greatest celebrations are Shabbat. We always welcome new and existing members to join with us in prayer, to revitalize from the busy work week, and to participate in the Oneg. Our services are warm and friendly and our congregation enjoys the benefit of sharing life’s joys and sorrows.

Members of our congregation come from many surrounding towns.  We have an equal number of adults and children.  58% of our members are from Franklin, 12% from Medway, and the remaining 30% are from Bellingham, Blackstone, Cumberland, Holliston, Hopedale, Mansfield, Medfield, Mendon, Milford, Millis, Norfolk, Sharon, Uxbridge, Woonsocket, and Wrentham.

Please join us for any service. For a schedule of Shabbat services, please look at our calendar.
