June 1, 2018 at Franklin Federated Church Join us between 5pm-7pm for a donor informal dinner gathering 7:30pm Erev Shabbat Service
In the Jewish tradition, the number 18 holds special significance as it represents the Hebrew word חי Chai – meaning Life. To mark this occasion, the Temple is holding a very special Shabbat service in the Rabbi’s honor.
Prior to the service, join us anytime between 5pm-7pm at an informal dinner gathering for donors to meet and speak with the Rabbi, his family, and our special guest lecturer and long time friend of Rabbi Alpert, Rabbi Eric Gervis.
Erev Shabbat services start at 7:30pm. Members of the Temple’s Board, Committees, and Choir will participate in the liturgy. The sermon will be presented by Rabbi Gervis and we will conclude with a special community-provided oneg Shabbat.
Though Rabbi Alpert has not served Temple Etz Chaim for the entirety of his 18 years as a Rabbi, his mark in the greater Franklin area is distinguished. His presence in both civic and interfaith gatherings adds a warmth, knowledge and open dialogue that is the hallmark of his tenure. We encourage all current and former members, potential new members, and the community-at-large to join us for this special celebration.
Cost for the donor gathering and dinner is $36 per person ($20 for children 13 and under), RSVP for the donor gathering here and pay online here.
