Did you realize that the Book of Proverbs has things to say about income inequality, feminism, animal rights, and other topics that we deal with today?

On January 13, Rabbi Dennis Ross will be speaking on his book A Year with Martin Buber. Rabbi Ross, who has visited us frequently, will discuss how we can use the teachings of one of Judaism’s greatest modern philosophers in our daily lives.

TEC Religious School and Sisterhood are leading a tzedakah project called, “A Basket of Love” and need your help!
We are collecting items for expectant mothers who cannot afford basic necessities for their newborns and can use a little TLC. We are asking members of TEC to sign up and donate items that are listed. Our goal is to make 20 baskets, but people can purchase the number of items they are comfortable with. The items can be dropped off at the Temple building, outside in designated bins.
During the Religious School Hanukkah celebration on Sunday, Dec. 18, students will put the baskets together. The baskets will then be transported to Project Just Because in Hopkinton.
Please bring your donations to the Temple by Wednesday, Dec. 14.
Join us outside for our Sisterhood Hanukkah Celebration and Yankee Swap.
We will gather around the firepit, enjoy s’mores, hot cocoa, and BYOS (bring your own spirits).
If you would like to participate in the Yankee Swap, bring a gift wrapped present.
Let us know you’re coming!
The women of Temple Etz Chaim Sisterhood will prepare and deliver dinner for Gilly’s House in Wrentham on Sunday, January 15th.
If you would like to bake a homemade dessert, arrangments can be made to pick it up that Sunday.
Please consider making a donation toward the purchase of the food needed to prepare this meal by Friday, January 13th to allow us time to shop.
Thank you in advance for your contribution.
