David Bernat is the Executive Director of Synagogue Council of MA. He has a PhD in Hebrew Bible and Ancient Judaism from Brandeis and has publishedВ  on the topics of circumcision, ritual development, and violence in Jewish text and tradition.В  Bernat has taught at Hebrew College, UMass Amherst, and Wellesley College, where he also served as Jewish Chaplain from 2008 – 2014.В  David lectures widely in the community and has long been active in adult learning, particularly as a Meah instructor since 1998.

Reciting this tribute (Proverbs 31) to the woman of the household as Shabbat begins is a longtime tradition.
Join Sisterhood as we honor our own Woman of Valor – this year with Jayme Solomon-Zissu.

Join us for an incredible evening of Purim celebrations! Start with the Community Supper, followed by services, the reading of the Megillah, and our festive Purim Spiel! Finish up with sweet treats and Hamentashen! This promises to be a wonderful evening for the entire family, see you there!
