Rabbi Tiferet Berenbaum – Rabbi of Congregational Learning,Temple Beth Zion, Brookline. As an African American Jew, Rabbi Berenbaum’s experience places her at the intersection of race and religion. Her work focuses on supporting individuals in knowing themselves and one another deeply, growing Jewishly and working for a kinder world.
Lisa Danetz – Public policy consultant on voting rights and election administration issues, whose recent clients including the Democracy Fund, Brennan Center, and Voting Rights Lab. Former legal director of Demos, a NY-based public policy center.
Andrea Miller – Founder of the Center for Common Ground and the Reclaim Our Vote initiative, leading the national effort against voter suppression and ensuring that every voter’s voice is heard on Nov. 3

The Schusterman Center for Israel Studies at Brandeis University invites you to our Fall kickoff event. “The Jews are Coming” (“Ha-Yehudim Baim”) is an Israeli Academy Award-winning satire now in its fourth season, airing on Kan 11, one of the official channels of the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation. The sketch comedy covers the history of the Jewish people from biblical times to the present, from Moses to Barbie and everything in between. Join our associate director Dr. Shayna Weiss for a lively conversation with the show’s creators, Natalie Marcus and Asaf Beiser. The conversation will also feature clips from the new season, never before translated for an English speaking audience!

Each year, we honor our Kitah Gimmel (3rd grade) class toward the end of their first year of formal Hebrew study.В We provide each member of the class a siddur (prayer book), which they will use throughout Hebrew School, at their B’nei Mitzvah, and beyond.В The students have each been given a cover for their siddur, which they have decorated with their Hebrew names.В At the service, we give them their Siddur and with its cover.
Each student will be recognized and will speak about their Hebrew name.В We hope that the members of our community will join us for this service to honor the accomplishment of this class and to wish them well in their continuing Jewish education.

We’re pleased to announce our first Virtual 3K Fun Run FUNdraiser. This year, we’re welcoming walkers and runners from near and far to join us in our social distancing 3K. All proceeds from this event will help support Temple Etz Chaim as we support our local community.
You may complete the full 3K (1.8 miles) at one time or across multiple walks/runs.
