The prophet Isaiah reminds us that God has commanded that we share our food with the hungry. Each year, our Temple participates with other members of the Franklin Interfaith Council in helping the Franklin Food Pantry collect items to provide Thanksgiving dinners for those in need. In light of the greater food insecurity this year, the need for this program is apparent.
The Temple has been assigned the responsibility of collecting 70 cans of turkey gravy. The cans are due by November 10. You can leave your cans in a sealed bin outside the front door of the Temple building (there will be hand sanitizer there). Alternatively, if you would like to have your cans picked up from outside your house, let Andrew Rubenstein know at andrew@raalaw.com, and someone can pick it up from your porch or driveway on Sunday, November 8.
Thank you for participating in this important mitzvah.
